Please tell me that you saw Barack Obama’s speech yesterday.  I was unable to, and have only heard snippets and overviews.  I will read the full text later today. 

But, the reactions are pretty consistent–at least from some of the news sources that I respect.  The Huffington Post has collected some of the reactions.

This guy is a hero! An American born and raised in Texas, Dahr Jamail went to Iraq as an Independent Journalist to cover the war in the most accurate–without the influence of the coporations who are currently running the media in our country.

His perspectives, images and articles portray a dramatically different scene that what any of our media sources have provided.

This is an interview with him, there are clips of his reporting, as well as images of his work over there.

And, the title are his words . . . .

Here is another example: supporters at a Florida Marlins baseball game were told they could not hold up signs for Ron Paul at the game. It is pure absurdity!

Freedom of Speech is just a theory, I guess. At least, that is what the Officials in Florida think.

Apparently, that little piece of paper that rules the land is worthless in the State of Florida. See for yourself:

I am not quite sure what to think of this, but take a look for yourself . . . .

I haven’t seen this in American papers yet, but I remember when the scandal came out. According to this BBC article, and 83-year old Oilman from Texas is going to serve prison time for his role in the United Nations Oil for Food Program scandal.

I wonder who else is involved?

Congressman Ron Paul really has a great message . . . and, I am a Democrat.
